What is Manifestation Meditation?

What is manifestation meditation?

As we continue to explore meditation practices in our blogs, this week we are taking a look at meditations and manifesting. This is a popular subject, with lots of searches online and discussion on social media and in person. Our clients often express a desire to work with meditation on manifestation, and we’re happy to oblige.

So what is manifestation meditation? Meditation and manifestation can take many forms, in this blog I will write from the perspective of our practice at Mettitation, and what we find to be successful - we’re always excited to read your comments and personal experience stories, so let us know how you use meditation and manifestation!

Does meditation help manifestation?

Everyone wants to know, does manifestation meditation work? Meditation is a great way to work with attraction and belief due to the fact we are still, quiet, purposeful, focused, acting positively and allowing our brain and heart to become coherent. These inherent states of meditation are the perfect arena for manifestation, just as when we are overactive, overstimulated and in a state of fear or other low vibrational emotion or energy, we would not be in a good state for manifestation. Our energy would be focused entirely elsewhere, even if we were thinking intently about that which we wish to manifest.

To successfully utilise meditation for manifestation we need to be centred, happy, spacious and open. It is worth mentioning that it is beneficial to practice meditation without the intention of manifesting at the beginning of your journey and a portion of the time once you have a consistent meditation practice. Achieving the coherent states which work best for manifestation takes practice for most of us, and a traditional meditation practice without any outcome in mind holds great benefit for your life that will likely supersede anything you may think you want. In line with this, to be successful with meditation on manifestation, it is important to let go of any time frame or urgency, holding onto urgency lowers your vibration and is not in alignment with the spacious openness we want to manifest from.

How to meditate to manifest what you want

So now we know why meditation and manifesting work so well together, let’s take a look at how to meditate to manifest what you want.

First let’s look at a quick checklist:

  • Is what you want to manifest an inherently positive outcome? - we want to make our lives and the lives of all other beings better

  • Are you trying to affect free will? - everyone is on their own path and none of us get to decide what’s best for someone else. Where someone is impacting your life negatively, the focus needs to be on a positive shift for you, rather than a focus on the behaviours of the other person

  • Do you feel desperate? - it’s important to let go of any sense of urgency and/or fear; you can do this by accepting that the best time for your manifestation to become tangible is beyond your knowing

  • Is your manifestation intention specific? - the more specific your intention, the more coherent the energy eg. swap ‘lots of’ for a specific number

Your checklist is your prep work to create your positive, specific, high vibrational intention.

  • Next, find a comfortable meditation posture, somewhere quiet where you won’t be disturbed. You might find it helpful to create an ambient setting, with incense, soft music and candles, but this is not necessary - you can meditate just as effectively in simple surroundings, with no extras. It is important however to create a good meditation posture; ideally seated on a cushion on the floor or on a chair, with your spine held upright and tall, your hands in your lap or palms up on your thighs to receive, and your eyelids lowered or closed. • When you are still and settled, the first part of your meditation is focused on becoming relaxed, peaceful and joyful. A good way to achieve this is by focusing on your breath, breathing diaphragmatically - filling with breath from your abdomen to the top of your chest and exhaling fully, to become empty at the bottom of the breath.

  • Allow thoughts to arise and disperse without attachment, it is natural for the mind to think, concentrate for now on your breath.

  • Begin to experience relaxation in the body; a good method is to focus the breath on parts of the body from the head all the way down to your base, taking your time to allow the relaxation.

  • Allow your awareness to come to your heart and fill your heart with feelings of love, joy and contentment. Smiling can help. Allow this sense of safety and wellness to radiate throughout your body from your heart and even more fully, outward to fill the room.

  • When you are feeling relaxed, joyful, safe and you are exuding this energy, begin to bring a lifelike visualisation of your intention into your mind. Imagine how it will be when it is manifest, see yourself, others around you, the setting, the colours and particulars. Allow it to flow like a real life movie. Allow yourself to feel how you will feel. Stay in this state of creativity and flow, feeling and exuding joy, relaxation and contentment, smiling, for as long as you wish or as long as you are actually in the vision. When you feel intuitively it is time to stop, or your focus shifts or you are no longer radiating high vibrational emotions, without frustration or worry, allow yourself to gently surface. You can do this by deepening your breath and noticing how the breath moves your body, your chest and abdomen rising and falling, by moving fingers and toes and gently stretching, finally opening your eyes or lifting your gaze.

  • Take your time getting up and leave your manifestation behind you in your meditation; now is the time to believe the seed has been sown, a gardener does not keep uncovering and checking the seed. You can revisit your manifestation intention in as many meditations as you wish and with similar experiences of joyful thought and belief throughout the day. Remembering that it is beyond your knowing when is the best time for your intention to manifest. Enjoy the journey in each present moment, this is life, the steps of the path are your life; never lose sight of that as you work with manifestation meditations or other manifestation practices.

Does manifestation meditation work?

5 minute manifestation meditation

Ready to try a guided manifestation meditation for yourself? This 5 minute manifestation meditation is a great place to start. We recommend choosing one very tangible thing or outcome you wish to use this 5 minute manifestation meditation for, being specific helps eg. rather than focusing on manifesting ‘lots of new clients’ for your business venture, get specific and focus on ‘forty new clients each month’ for your business venture. It’s not that you need to ‘be realistic’, it's that a specific manifestation intention is more focused and therefore holds more coherent energy. You can definitely think big, just think big in a specific way!
